Safety and Security Issues are VERY important to remember...

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind/warn everyone about the importance of never saying too much on the boards or on the Internet in general. We need to remember not to give out specific information on deployments, TDYs and other things that might jeopardize the security of our own families and our troops. We know that most of the stuff is plastered all over the media, but let's keep a tight lip on it just in case (not to say that we don't welcome discussions on places like Kosovo or other deployments, just leave out the specifics as far as what squadron, etc.)

If a loved one is deployed or preparing for a deployment, please do not be specific about the day of departure or the destination. One little piece of information may not seem like a big deal, but if you multiply that little piece with a thousand other little pieces, it fills in a puzzle. Let's be as diligent as we were on Sept. 12th!

Also, while we are always concerned about the security of our military members, don't forget about your OWN personal security! Be careful what you post on this board about where you are, what your last name is, whether your significant other (S/O) is in town or away from home on a TDY or deployment, where you or your S/O work, what kind of car you drive, etc... It could be very easy for someone to put together this kind of info and find you! You can never be too careful - just like you would in person. Please email us if you have any questions at DMM_CLs@yahoo.com. When in doubt...please ask before you post!
